Fox Creek Loop
6/8/2021: Except for some mosquitoes at the beginning of the hike, this was a very pleasant hike indeed. Lots of birds singing, Fox Creek gurgling, alpine forest, rolling meadows and beautiful wildflowers. And on top of all that, we pretty much had it to ourselves. Hike counterclockwise.
Sawtooth Brewery
Marg’s Notes: Fox Creek Loop. Slept in a bit! We were tired, so left a bit before 8 a.m. LOTS of traffic! Rush hour to Ketchum! Arrive @ hike 8:45. A Beautiful hike thru forest meadow. Lots of skeeters in the morning. It was quite a bit uphill, 1015 ft elevation gain. 5.75 miles & it took 2 hours 45 minutes. Rod took lots of Flower pictures. We saw a few people & some dogs, but not too crowded. The return side of the loop was mostly downhill. Mostly thru forest & alpine meadow. After our hike, we drove back towards our motel, but stopped along the way for a picnic lunch. Came back & had a nap! After our nap we drove back to Hailey and had dinner at Sawtooth Brewery. Very good beer! We split an order of fish & chips. Rod bought a 12 pack. Talked to a few locals and Rod talked to some other visitors.
More notes: Sawtooth Brewery is a great place to eat and drink.
